Will a more powerful version of Office come to the iPad with iPad OS?

Is there any word going around about what Microsoft got plan for iPad OS? I love using their stuff on the iPad and can’t wait them add dark mode it. So is there any rumors to what new features they give to the iPad?

It’s most likely that MS will continue the incremental pace. There’s not a technical reason why the tablet versions are “less powerful.”

It’s 100% design. The idea is that they can implement the top 4/5 of functionality in 1/5 the amount of code.

They'll obviously take advantage of the ability to run multiple instances of Office apps, and maybe we'll see dark mode and some additional pen functionality– but I'm not expecting a whole lot else. I don't think we'll suddenly see them add macros for example. As Jim notes in his comment, incremental updates over time are more likely.

Personally, the biggest thing I want from Microsoft right now is dark mode for Outlook. The wall of white is just overwhelming if you're using the app in a darkened room.
