Edge – O365

Earlier today I was helping my parents getting all there old laptop stuff transferred to a Macbook Air (Apple did a nice job on the wizard btw) and ran into an issue I found hard to explain/understand. Since they are used to Edge I installed it for them, logged in with the MS account to sync all their stuff from the old laptop and went on to explain they could use the Microsoft 365 button on the rightside toolbar to create a Word document and we were all presented with how MS manages to not make things easy.

Another prompt for credentials, do you want to stay signed in, …. over a minute before the sidebar was filled with the Office application icons. I thought it was a fluke but have the same here at home.

You would think they can make things more transparent and faster in their own optimised browser that has an MS account signed in already.
