Where’s the Storage Spaces ReFS uproar?

I’ve not found a lot of discussion on what people are going to do when Storage Spaces disappears from Windows 10. I built my HTPC/NAS PC around ReFS, so it’s a real pain to see a core feature removed while more annoyances and bloatware get added. My other choice was Linux ZFS, but I decided on Windows being more familiar with it.

It’s not real clear what happens when I decide to switch out drives in my 2 drive mirror. I plan on upgrading them at some point. Do we just go back to NTFS or try an onboard RAID solution, I don’t know! I’d be open to hacking Windows to re-enable it.

<p>I'm not sure why MS decided to ditch ReFS in downmarket SKUs instead of standardizing on it across the whole line. One would think they would want to be able to say, "Hey, we have a next generation filesystem too!!"</p><p><br></p><p>Oh, also it would be good for customers. </p>
