Epic Games Store Holiday Sale is Live

Posted on December 21, 2019 by Paul Thurrott in Games with 6 Comments

If you’re a PC gamer, you must know about the incredible free games that Epic Games Store regularly offers. Well, now they’re having an excellent sale too. Plus, everyone is getting a $10 coupon.

“Sign-in to your Epic Games account, then click the button to claim one $10 Epic Coupon (to use on eligible games of $14.99 or above or local currency equivalent),” the Holiday Sale 2019 page at the Epic Games Store notes. “The $10 Epic Coupon will be applied automatically at checkout.”

During the sale, games like Division 2, Borderlands 3, Outer Worlds, Red Dead Redemption 2, Satisfactory, and World War Z are up to 75 percent off.  You can see the complete list here.

In addition to the sale, the Epic Games Store is also hosting a 12 Days of Free Games event during which it will give away a free game each day. Keep checking back with its Free Games page to see what’s available.

Thanks for the tip! I'm not a complete convert from Steam, but Epic certainly has my attention...

Someone actually accused me of being paid to advertise for Epic. This is just a good deal that people should know about.

There are no words. Except for Merry f#$king Christmas, I guess.

I note that person didn't make the same claim in your Microsoft Games with Gold article. That's the problem with fanboys/haters like that guy. You can never please them. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Anyway, enough of that. Merry Christmas Paul to you and your family.

Helping people, or trying to, and being accused of something crazy is just ... hard. I'm not even a PC gamer. And I can't stand Tim Sweeney. But the Epic Game Store is pretty great. Anyway. Yes. Thanks. To you as well.

For a guy that hates closed systems, Tim Sweeney is making a hard push to build a store of his own. Thanks for the free games though, I like them.
