Deathloop, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, More Are Coming to Game Pass

Microsoft revealed several new games coming to the Xbox Game Pass Library during its Tokyo Game Show livestream this morning. The headliners are Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which is available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass starting today, and the Ubisoft game will be joined by Deathloop on September 20.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest AAA Ubisoft game coming to Game Pass following Immortals Fenyx Rising, Far Cry 5, and Assassin’s Creed Origins. If the latter was set in ancient Egypt, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey lets players explore a large open world in Greece during the war between Athens and Sparta.

In addition to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, many Japanese games are also coming to the Xbox Game Pass library today. The list includes Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch; Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition, and Fuga: Melodies of Steel.

Deathloop will be the next big game coming to Game Pass next week on September 20, though it’s been released on PS5 and PC a year ago. It’s the latest game from Arkane Studios, known for the critically-acclaimed Dishonored series.

As you may know, Microsoft acquired Arkane Studios’ parent company Zenimax Media last year, but that was after Sony obtained a one-year console exclusivity deal for Deathloop on the PS5. Now that the exclusivity period is over, the game can now be released on Xbox Series X|S consoles. Yes, if you’re still on Xbox One, you’re out of luck, though the game will also be available via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Microsoft also revealed at Tokyo Game Show many other games coming to the Xbox Game Pass library soon. The list includes Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Guilty Gear –Strive, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition , as well as remastered versions of Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable.
