Microsoft has just revealed the second wave coming to the Game Pass library in October. The headliner is A Plague Tale: Requiem, which is available starting today on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence from Asobo Studios, which is also developing Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Requiem is a current-gen-only game set in medieval France infested by swarms of rats. Despite its dark tones, it’s an impressive-looking game with photorealistic graphics, and the game’s engine is capable of displaying more than 300,000 rats at once.

The second big game coming to Game Pass this month is the critically-acclaimed J-RPG Persona 5 Royal, which was previously a PlayStation-exclusive game. This is a big milestone in Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to bring more Japanese games to its game subscription service, and Persona 3 and 4 are also coming to Xbox consoles and Game Pass in the coming months.
Six games are also coming to Game Pass in October including the Amnesia: Collection anthology, Sona, and Signalis. You can find the full list of upcoming games below:
Microsoft also announced that 8 games will leave the Game Pass library at the end of the month. The list includes Alan Wake: American Nightmare, Backbone, Bassmaster Fishing 2022, Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition, Project Wingman, Second Extinction, Sniper Elite 4, and The Forgotten City. As usual, you can take advantage of special discounts on these games before they disappear from the catalog.
