Oreo’s Special Edition Xbox Cookies Let You Unlock Game Skins and More

Oreo has teamed up with Microsoft to offer special edition Xbox cookies in 22 countries. The limited-edition cookies will feature the Xbox logo as well as the A, B, X, and Y controller buttons, and consumers who purchase them will get the chance to unlock bonus content in select Xbox games.

“By scanning the Oreo Xbox Special Edition cookies and by cracking exclusive cookie combinations, inspired by the cheat codes hidden in games throughout history, fans can unlock a range of prizes,” the Xbox team explained. The prizes that can be unlocked include armor packs and vehicle skins for Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, and Halo Infinite.

Consumers who try to enter the symbols in the right sequence will also get a chance to win other special prizes such as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships, Xbox consoles, and more: The Xbox team also teased “custom Oreo hardware” and “a holiday experience for the whole family,” though the latter won’t be available in all regions.

Oreo will offer these Xbox Special Edition cookies throughout the month in participating countries. This is a pretty fun way to promote the Xbox brand, and you can find more details on the limited-time promotion on this page.

Except for this new partnership and the launch of a new Xbox Series X Forza Horizon 5 bundle last week, the Xbox team has been relatively quiet since the beginning of the year. However, we will likely hear about new Xbox Game Pass games for January very soon.
