Microsoft Announces New Content for Flight Simulator and Forza Horizon 5

Microsoft has announced new content updates for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Forza Horizon 5 this week. The first one is getting the free World Update XII: New Zealand, which brings high-resolution imagery for 7 cities, 9 airports, and 62 new points of interest.

“The Microsoft Flight Simulator team brought together the latest geographic data to create World Update XII: New Zealand, including satellite imagery, aerial photography, and digital elevation models. The team even incorporated the Hobbiton Movie Set on New Zealand’s North Island that is surrounded by the region’s unique natural splendor,” explained Jorg Neumann, Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

As usual, the content update can be downloaded for free from the in-game marketplace. The previous “World Update” was released back in September and it was dedicated to Canada.

Forza Horizon 5 is the other Microsoft game that’s getting new content with the Rally Adventure expansion coming on March 29. It follows a previous Hot Wheels-themed expansion released back in July.

The Rally Adventure expansion for Forza Horizon 5 is set in a new Sierra Nueva location with six different biomes. Players can also expect a new Campaign mode with “the largest number of racing events featured in any Horizon expansion.” Ten new off-road cars will also be included, and the expansion will also add a new radio station with a punk soundtrack.

The Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure will be priced at $19.99, but it’s also included in the $35 Expansions Bundle and the $49.99 Premium Add-ons bundle. The base game remains free to play with Game Pass for Console and PC, just like Microsoft Flight Simulator
