Minecraft Legends and 6 More Games Are Coming to Game Pass in April

Microsoft revealed today the second wave of games coming to the Game Pass library in April. The headliner is Minecraft Legends, the latest Xbox Game Studios title that is launching today on Game Pass for Console, PC, and Cloud.

Minecraft Legends is an action-strategy game that supports cross-platform multiplayer with up to 8 players. Just like Minecraft Dungeons before it, it’s also being released on PlayStation consoles and the Nintendo Switch, but Game Pass subscribers get to play it for free on day one.

Three more games will come to the Game Pass library later this week with Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, Medieval Dynasty, and Homestead Arcana. Cassette Beasts, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition, and The Last Case of Benedict Fox will follow next week.

Here is the full list of games coming to the Game Pass library in April::

  • Minecraft Legends (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available today
  • Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly (Cloud, Console, and PC) – April 20, available on day one with Game Pass
  • Medieval Dynasty (Xbox One) – April 20
  • Homestead Arcana (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – April 21, available on day one with Game Pass
  • Cassette Beasts (PC) – April 26, available on day one with PC Game Pass

On May 2, Redfall will be the next Xbox Game Studios to land on Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game received some bad PR last week when its developer revealed that a 60FPS Performance mode will need to wait for a post-launch update, so players who want to play console players who want to play it at launch will have to deal with a 30FPS limit. This is quite uncommon for a shooter launching on 9th-generation consoles, but this is how it is.

Lastly, Microsoft also announced that five games will leave the Game Pass library on April 30. The list includes Bugsnax, Destroy All Humans!, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Tetris Effect Connected, and Unsouled. As usual, you can take advantage of up to 20% discounts on these games before they get removed from Game Pass.
