Halo Infinite May Update to Add Super Fiesta Mode and UI Improvements

Halo Infinite May Update

343 Industries has just shared details about the Halo Infinite May Update, which will be released on May 10 on Xbox and PC. This new update will add a new Super Fiesta game mode, sandbox tuning updates, as well as various quality-of-life improvements.

The new Super Fiesta multiplayer mode that previously existed on Halo 5: Guardians is a variant of the Fiesta mode that makes all players spawn with randomized weapons. In Super Fiesta, players will get to use the upgraded weapons and equipment that can be unlocked throughout the game’s campaign.

The May update will also bring tuning updates for the Disruptor weapon, Spike grenades, and Dynamo grenades. The Shroud screen equipment introduced in the Echoes Within update will also be updated to have 1 charge upon pickup.

343 Industries has also been working on various UI and UX improvements. A new FPS counter will be available on Xbox, which will also be helpful for Forgers creating complex maps that may not run well on consoles. The matchmaking menu is also being redesigned to make more playlists visible on the screen, and this update will also make the Custom Browser accessible right from the main menu.

This week has brought some bad news for Xbox enthusiasts as Phil Spencer had to apologize yesterday for the lukewarm reception the Xbox-exclusive Redfall received. Halo Infinite also certainly disappointed the core Xbox audience when it launched with a clear lack of content, but 343 Industries continues to support the game and the multiplayer is now in a much better state.
