Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile to Launch on March 21 With Cross-Progression Support

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

Activision has just announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be launching on iOS and Android on March 21, 2024. The mobile version of the popular battle royale game is already available for select players across the world, and it also features a classic Call of Duty multiplayer experience.

“Throughout the last year, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has been in a Limited Release where we’ve been gathering feedback, fixing bugs, and continually optimizing the game to make it one of the best games ever upon its worldwide launch. This time spent with our Limited Release players has proven invaluable with dozens of major updates, thousands of bugs fixed, and new content and features added,” the Call of Duty team said today.

The battle royale “Warzone” experience will offer two maps at launch, Verdansk (120 players) and Rebirth Island (48 players), with the latter being restricted to the faster-paced Resurgence mode. The classic multiplayer experience will include various maps and modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Search & Destroy, including Hardcore variants.

In addition to touch controls, the free-to-play mobile game will support controller support and advanced accessibility settings. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will also feature cross-progression with the PC/console versions of Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. Shared features across platforms include player and weapon levels, Battle Pass progression, and Store bundles (with some exceptions.

You can already pre-register for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and get access to exclusive rewards such as the Ghost-Condemned operator skin. The Call of Duty team said today that over 50 million players have already pre-registered the game on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Before Microsoft concluded its acquisition of Activision Blizzard last fall, the company said that one of its main motivations for pursuing the $68 billion deal was to significantly increase its gaming presence on mobile devices. The company is about to get what it wants with Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, which should enjoy a massive launch on March 21. The cross-progression feature should also ensure that Call of Duty fans spend even more time (and money) across platforms.
