Microsoft has just revealed the second wave of April Game Pass games that will hit the service between tomorrow, April 16, and May 6, and there’s a new Call of Duty game in the mix. Indeed, the 2022 episode Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will join Modern Warfare III and Black Ops 6 on the library on May 1.
As you probably know, Microsoft has been slow to add new Activision Blizzard games to Game Pass, and Black Ops 6 was the first episode to join the service on day one. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft sticks with this staggered rollout strategy even though the company was much faster to add Bethesda/Zenimax games to Game Pass.
The other highlights from today’s Game Pass update include Far Cry 4, the upcoming RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and the Xbox version of Towerborne, a game that’s already available in early access on PC. While that’s not new, GTA V is also coming to all Game Pass tiers later today, including PC Game Pass for the first time.

Six games are also set to leave the Game Pass library on April 30: The list includes Have a Nice Death, Kona II Brume, Sniper Elite 5, The Last Case of Benedict Fox, Thirsty Suitors, and The Rewinder. As usual, Game Pass members can purchase these games with a 20% discount while they are still on the service.
