Netflix is launching today a new collection of social party games on TV that can be played using a smartphone as a controller. The platform has been testing a cloud gaming offering in select markets for two years, but Netflix now appears more interested in games that can be played together on TV.
The first social games available on Netflix include Lego Party, Boggle Party, Pictionary: Game Night, Tetris Time Warp, and Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends. To play these games, users just need to scan a QR code on the TV with their phone. Overall, the experience should be very similar to the new party games on Amazon’s rival Luna cloud gaming service.
If you have Netflix, you have games.

Netflix’s TV games are currently only available in the US, the UK, Canada, Spain, Mexico, France, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Germany, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. In supported markets, a Games tab will appear in the menu at the top of the Netflix TV app, and the company recommends a wired connection with download speeds of 10 Mbps or higher for the best experience.
While most newer TV devices should support Netflix games, Apple TV users are currently out of luck. Netflix games are also available on the web, and there are also some non-social games like Oxenfree that are playable with a controller or mouse and keyboard.
Netflix is also still investing in mobile games, and today the company announced the upcoming availability of Rockstar Games’ cult-classic Red Dead Redemption on iOS and Android. The western-themed action game will become available for Netflix subscribers on December 4, 2025.
