Avowed is the Next Xbox Game Coming to PS5 on February 17

Avowed, the heroic fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment released on Xbox and PC last year is coming to PlayStation 5 on February 17, 2026. This is the latest Xbox game to be ported to PlayStation consoles following the PS5 release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in December.

Obsidian Entertainment is currently one of the busiest game studios owned by Microsoft, having released Avowed, Grounded 2 (in early access), and The Outer Worlds 2 in 2025. The latter was released day and date on PlayStation 5, so it’s not surprising to see Avowed drop its Xbox console exclusivity after a year.

Avowed is set in the same world as Obsidian’s Pillars of Eternity RPG series, and it’s a first-person game. With an 80 score on Metacritic, Avowed received pretty good reviews for an AA game with no true open world setting like in The Elder Scrolls series.

The Standard Edition of Avowed on the PlayStation 5 is already available for pre-order for $49.99, and the Premium Edition with 2 additional armors, 8 companion skins, and the digital artbook and soundtrack is priced at $59.99.

PlayStation 5 gamers can already look forward to playing another new Xbox game soon: Forza Horizon 6, which will get its first gameplay reveal during Xbox’s Developer_Direct on January 22, has already been announced on PlayStation 5.
