Meta Horizon+ Subscription Adds New Xbox Game Pass Perk

The Xbox team has partnered with Meta to offer a new Game Pass perk to Meta Horizon+ subscribers. Starting today, a new “starter edition” of Xbox Game Pass is available with a Meta Horizon+ subscription, and it provides access to 50+ games, 10 hours of cloud gaming each month, and Rewards for playing.

Overall, this is similar to the Game Pass Starter Edition perk that recently became available with a Discord Nitro subscription. The list of over 50 games included in the starter edition of Xbox Game Pass includes Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Overcooked 2, Grounded, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Snowrunner, and more.

All these games can be streamed via the Xbox app on Meta Quest headsets, but they can also be downloaded on Xbox consoles and PCs to avoid tapping into the 10 hours of cloud gaming each month.

In the coming weeks, Meta Quest users will also be able to use their headset’s Touch controllers to emulate an Xbox controller. This will make cloud-enabled Xbox games playable without pairing an official Xbox controller to the headset.

A Meta Horizon+ subscription is priced at $7.99 per month or $59.99 a year, and it provides access to over 100 VR games, plus exclusive deals on games available on the Meta Quest store. Meta is offering a one-month free trial of Meta Horizon+ to new subscribers.
