Xbox One May System Update is Now Available

Microsoft announced today that the May 2015 system update for Xbox One is now available. The update adds voice messages, enhanced SmartGlass functionality and more to the software giant’s premier video game and entertainment console.

“We’re streamlining your gaming experiences even more this time around, whether you’re looking for an easier way to power up the console or connect with distant friends in real time through voice messaging,” Microsoft explains in a blog post announcing the update.

Here’s what’s new.

Voice messages. Now, you can send and receive voice messages through the Messages app, which can be used in snap mode alongside a game or other app. You can also exchange voice messages between Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

Power the console from SmartGlass app on a mobile device. Completing the circle on the enhanced remote control functionality of the Xbox SmartGlas app—available on all your favorite mobile platforms—you can now power the Xbox One console on and off from this app.

Power mode is now user selectable during initial Setup. This won’t impact existing users, but when you set up a new Xbox One now, it will let you choose between two power modes, Instant On (which lets you use “Xbox, On” and other niceties, but uses power when the console is asleep) and Energy Saver, where you will need to manually power up the console like someone from the 1980s.

Party chat with dedicated servers. Available to preview users since March, this feature enables dedicated chat relay servers, which solve NAT traversal issues that prevented some people from being able to use party chat. Availability of this feature isn’t automatic for some reason. Instead, Microsoft is rolling it out over time as it “fine tunes the feature and scales out the servers needed to support” it.

Game on.

Variability of technical characteristics of the usual "upgrades" do not offer, and the next pipe is always better than the previous one. The only question is what exactly to improve first. "Prorolling" occurs at the expense of scrap metal, sometimes it will be necessary to carry out the task or to kill more enemies. Interesting begins with access to the Archangels. Once all the relevant details have been collected, they can be used to build a unique "build" of the car, focused on one thing. The "speed demon" speaks for itself; he has no defense at all. But the "Aurelianus Razyaschy", on the contrary, is hung with spikes and ramming systems, so that when a collision breaks the neighboring "wheelbarrows" into shreds. In addition, you can right on the battlefield to hijack any pimped-in and bring it to the garage for personal use. Such machines also have some characteristics, but weaker than the "Archangels"; The main bonus is that the enemies begin to take you for their own. Over time, the protagonist himself develops - a jacket, superstores, a shotgun and a beard become better by ten, fifteen, twenty percent. In addition, the friv game includes a system of internal achievements: "eat the worms ten times," "kill thirty vultures" - all this increases the personal rating from "Lizard" to "Warrior of the road", opens new "upgrades" and allows for story missions. Move along the plot, remember the relationship with the characters, watch the videos, listen to the dialogues - you might not even think about it. The script takes place in a few hours. In addition, the story is simply disgusting: pathetic attempts at the drama are not able to cause at least some emotions, and most of the friv game in general is just a hero's way to Gaztown, the local gasoline capital. Starting in a small hangar on the edge of the global map, we gradually move upward. The accessible territory, as it should, is divided into regions, each with its own "level of danger", its visual style and its type of landscape. Possible allies sit in several fortresses with charismatic leaders. Max reaches the fortress, goes in, greets and receives another pack of tasks: find gunpowder, saltpeter, a large pile of metal or a beautiful toilet. In general, forts also need to "pump" for the sake of some ghost bonuses.
