Google is now selling Type-C earbuds. The company’s new earbuds launched along with the new Pixel devices, including the new Pixel 3 and the Pixel Slate, none of which include a headphone jack. The timing of the launch of the new Type-C earbuds here is perfect.

The earbuds sell for $30, and they come with all the features of the $160 Pixel Buds. You can access Google Assistant, hear your notifications by simply pressing the volume up button on the playback controls, and get instant translations. The earbuds only come in white.

And that’s obviously a much better than the $160 Pixel Buds, as long as you don’t mind the fact that the wires. You can get one for yourself here.

All these "no headphone jack" approaches just over-complicate an otherwise simple function.
