Google is giving Play Movies & TV customers a huge-ish upgrade. The company is giving users the 4K treatment as it looks to focus more on high-quality content.
If you already own a bunch of movies on Google Play Movies & TV, Google will now give you free access to 4K versions of those movies as they become available for free. You will get access to the 4K versions of movies you already own for free, without needing to pay the extra charge you’d otherwise have to.

What’s more, Google is cutting down the price for 4K versions of the content available through Play Movies & TV. So if you are buying a new movie, like Spider-Man: Homecoming, buying it on 4K will now cost you less than before. Google is saying exactly how much cheaper 4K movies are now available for, though.
The latest 4K upgrades are only available to customers in the United States and Canada, so if you are like me and don’t live in these countries but own a lot of movies on Play Movies, you will just have to pay for the 4K versions of the movies in your library.

When you can get a DVD, Blue-Ray, Digital, and UHD for the price of a "online only" copy, it just makes me scratch my head.</p>
