Google Chrome is getting a number of new features with the release of Chrome 78. The new version is available across all major platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.
On the desktop, Chrome 78 introduces some useful new features. Google is letting users customize more parts of the browser with new customization features on the New Tab page that lets you choose from a bunch of images and pre-made themes, and you can also now control what type of shortcuts are shown on the New Tab page.

Chrome 78 also introduces an improved design for Tab Hover Cards, and Google is also integrating its Password Checkup extension into the browser, which notifies you of passwords that were affected by known data breaches.
Chrome 78 comes with an interesting cross-device feature that allows you to highlight a phone number on a browser and right-click to send it to your Android phone where you can actually make the call.
On iOS, Google has added a new dark mode for the browser for users with iOS 13. You can find the full list of changes for Chrome 78 here.
