Microsoft Unveils ‘Blush’ Surface Laptop 2 for China

Earlier this month, Microsoft pulled back the cover on the company’s updated Surface Laptop 2 and with it came a new color option, black. But for Surface fans in China, Microsoft also has a new color for that audience.

Announced today, there is a ‘Blush’ color that will be available exclusively in China. The pink/gold-ish color was developed by an individual named Quan, on the Surface team, and will be available when the Laptop 2 goes on sale in that country.

This is one of the first times that we have seen Microsoft create a country-specific color option for its hardware and follows a trend other manufacturers have utilized to help localize products for the regions where the goods are offered.

In a dream world, I would love for Microsoft to allow us to customize the color of our devices like you can with the Xbox controller design lab but that introduces a serious amount of complexity and unfortunately, I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

If you do want one of these blush colored devices, you will either need to grab a plane ticket to China or find a friend who can export one to you.

That would likely sell well in the US. Goes with MSs mobile offerings (made by Apple).

Are people allergic to the word "pink" or something?

I also think this would sell well in the US. Lots of women like pink guns, I'm sure the same thing would apply here.
