Samsung Still Doesn’t Have a Release Date for the Galaxy Fold

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold launch has been quite a mess for the phone maker. When it first launched the device along with its new line of Galaxy S devices, it built a lot of hype around the device back in February. The company was all ready for an April launch, but things quickly started to go downhill after early reviewers of the device found a massive problem with the folding display.
Samsung’s Galaxy Fold had a problem which caused the folding display of the device to break. Shortly after, the phone maker started cancelling pre-orders of the $1980 device, with retailers following shortly after.

And after all the cancellations and delays, Samsung still isn’t certain about the release of the Galaxy Fold. The company told CNET that it will announce the release timing of the device “in the coming weeks.” And that’s very worrying to hear, considering Samsung has already significantly delayed the product. What’s more, Samsung will only announce the new release date in the coming weeks, and it could be months before the product is actually ready.
Even when Samsung does release the Galaxy Fold, people will still have major concerns around the reliability of the folding display. The debacle has already caused a lot of questions around the product’s quality, and Samsung will have to work really hard to convince customers otherwise.
