Samsung is rolling out a new update to the Galaxy S10 line — the S10e, the S10, the S10+, and the S10 5G — this week. The company is rolling out the update in Europe first, with more markets expected to get the updates later on.

With the new update, Samsung is introducing a number of new features from the Note 10 line to the S10 line, including:

 • Night Mode now works in the front-facing camera, meaning you will now be able to take better pictures in low-light environments
 • You can now use features like AR Doodle on the camera, and it now has Super steady video stabilization
 • Live Focus video recording from the Note 10 is now available on the S10 line, so you can apply bokeh effects on both the front and rear cameras
 • There’s now a built-in video editor within the camera app
 • Link to Windows integration
 • You can now connect your S10 to your computer and access your phone via Samsung DeX on a Windows or Mac device
 • An improved Samsung Pass app with an enhanced setup experience

As with most Android phone updates, it could be a little while before your phone actually gets these new updates, depending on your region and carrier. So you just have to wait it out till the features are available on your phone.

Was wondering if my S10+ would ever get DeX functionality. While I doubt I'll use it very much, I've been itching to try it and it will be nice to have the option available.

Nice. Looking forward to this arriving on my S10. I just got the latest security updates – they tend to come through monthly which is nice. The release notes always talk about camera and bluetooth improvements too but never get very specific. I'll watch out for a list that at least includes these things (carrier is Optus, in Australia)
