Dell reported that it earned a net income of $955 million on revenues of $22.2 billion in the quarter ending May 3. Revenues were up 6 percent year-over-year (YOY), but its PC business didn’t grow YOY.
“We again demonstrated our ability to execute and deliver strong cash flow, with AI continuing to drive new growth,” Dell CFO Yvonne McGill said. “Revenue was up 6 percent at $22.2 billion, servers and networking revenue was up 42 percent, and we generated $7.9 billion of cash flow from operations over the last 12 months.”

What Dell didn’t do was grow its business PC. Dell’s Client Solutions Group (CSG) delivered revenue of $12.0 billion, flat year over year. Revenue from commercial customers was $10.2 billion, up 3 percent YOY, while consumer revenue was down 15 percent to $1.8 billion.
Dell’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) delivered revenues of $9.2 billion in the quarter, up 22 percent. Servers and networking revenue was a record $5.5 billion, up 42 percent, while storage revenue was flat at $3.8 billion.
The firm didn’t have much more to say about PCs, other than to remind everyone that it announced XPS 13, Inspiron 14 Plus, Inspiron 14, Latitude 7455, and Latitude 5455 Copilot+ PCs powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus processors last week.
