It’s not clear when this happened, but a nearly complete family of Designed by Microsoft PC peripherals is now available from Incase.
“Legendary performance, iconic design,” the Incase website notes on its Designed by Microsoft page. “Shop our lineup of keyboards, mice, and accessories, Designed by Microsoft, brought to you by Incase.”
As you may recall, Microsoft killed its Microsoft-branded keyboard, mice, and other PC peripherals about two years ago, keeping just a small subset of its lackluster Surface-branded PC accessories in the market instead. The problem was that Microsoft’s best peripherals, like its Sculpt keyboard and mouse, were no longer available. Then, Incase announced that it was partnering to bring 23 of Microsoft’s keyboards, mice, and other peripherals back to the market in January 2024. But after a year or more, only a few random products were made available, like the Compact Ergonomic Keyboard it shipped this past January.
Well, there are a lot more of them available now.
Incase now offers 19 Designed by Microsoft products, including five keyboards (Bluetooth Keyboard, Compact Ergonomic Keyboard, Ergonomic Keyboard, Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard, and Wired Keyboard 600), six mice (Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse, Bluetooth Mouse, Modern Mobile Mouse, Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse, Wired USB-A Basic Optical Mouse, and Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850), five sets (Sculpt Comfort Desktop, Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop, Wired Desktop 600, Wired Desktop 800, and Wired Desktop 900), and three headsets (Modern USB-C Headset, Modern Wireless Headset, and Modern USB Headset).
All but 5 of the devices are available now, while the Compact Ergonomic Keyboard, Sculpt Comfort Desktop, Modern Wireless Headset, Modern USB Headset, and Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse are still “coming soon.”
And the prices seem reasonable. The Sculpt Ergonomic Set I have bought too many times to count is $150, while just the keyboard is $120 and the mouse is $80.00.
I’ll be ordering a new Sculpt Ergonomic Set when I get home in May.
