Samsung’s More Affordable Galaxy S26 FE Launches on September 3 for $700

Samsung has just taken the wraps off the Galaxy S26 FE, its new entry-level phone that will complete the Galaxy S26 series that launched in March 2026. The $699.99 Galaxy S26 FE (“Fan Edition”) offers roughly the same specs as last year’s Galaxy S25 FE, though the camera bump has been slightly redesigned, and Samsung also promises new camera and AI features with its latest One UI 9 software experience.

“Galaxy S26 FE is purposefully designed to deliver the signature strengths of the Galaxy S series, ensuring that every feature makes a meaningful difference in users’ daily lives,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Packed with beloved Galaxy camera and AI experiences, and backed by the latest One UI 9, Galaxy S26 FE comes to life as an ideal choice for those who know exactly what matters most to them.”

Looking at the specs sheet, the Galaxy S26 FE offers the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, 4,900 mAh battery, and rear triple camera system (12MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP wide angle camera, and 8MP Telephoto camera) as last year’s Galaxy S25 FE. However, Samsung replaced the 4nm Exynos 2400 chip with a newer 3nm Exynos 2500 chip, and the Galaxy S26 FE runs the company’s One UI 9 interface out of the box (it’s currently being tested for the Galaxy S25 FE).

The Galaxy S26 FE adds support for My FanCam, a feature first introduced on the latest Galaxy Z Fold series that automatically tracks a selected person to keep them in the center. The phone also supports Samsung’s intelligent camera features including Super Steady, Nightography, and Photo Assist, and customers will also be able to access Google’s new Gemini Omni model to create and edit videos.

In terms of AI features, the Galaxy S26 FE improves existing capabilities such as Now Brief, which can now create customizable briefing cards with weather and wellness insights. The Now Nudge feature, which surfaces relevant quick actions above the keyboard, now supports select third-party apps. Additionally, the Circle to Search feature now lets users search for multiple items in an image at once.

The Galaxy S26 FE will be available in Pistachio, Blueberry, and Graphite colors, and shipments from select carriers will start on September 3. Samsung will offer a 6-month free trial of Google AI Pro ($19.99/month) with every purchase.
