Back in 2017, Microsoft launched a dedicated app for learning Chinese on iPhones. The app is simply called Microsoft Learn Chinese, and it’s now coming to Android devices this week.
Microsoft Learn Chinese on Android offers an identical experience to the iPhone app. It also features the same mascot that’s very identical to the Duolingo bird. The new Android app does come with a lot more features than the original iPhone app from 2017.

Microsoft actually has been updating the iOS app as well with new features since 2017, so both the apps offer the same features on Android and iOS now. During the initial launch, Microsoft Learn Chinese offered an advanced AI-powered grading system, which was the main flagship feature of the app, and the Android app also features the same grading system.
The app now includes a bunch of other features, including professional course material with Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (Chinese Proficiency Test) difficulty classification. The app also offers a personalised learning experience and the same conversational interface as the iPhone app that lets you role-play different scenarios like interviews to help improve your Chinese speaking skills in professional scenarios.
