Microsoft’s Ignite 2024 Conference Will Return to Chicago on November 18-22

Microsoft has just detailed its full lineup of events in 2024, and we already have dates for this year’s Ignite conference. After moving to Orlando and then Seattle after two digital editions during COVID lockdowns, Microsoft’s Ignite 2024 event for IT pros will be returning to Chicago on November 18-22.

“This year’s focus is to empower our customers and partners through AI transformation,” said Takeshi Numoto, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft. The exec also said that some of Microsoft’s events this year will offer AI assistants that will answer attendees’ questions and provide personalized session recommendations and content summaries. This should be an interesting demonstration of the company’s AI expertise.

We already knew that Microsoft Build 2024 will be held in Seattle on May 21-23, and the developer event will have a big focus on AI and Sopilots. In July, Microsoft will also be evolving its Inspire partner event, and the company will share more details about it soon.

In addition to Build, Inspire, and Ignite, Microsoft is also running a global AI Tour with a series of one-day in-person events for decision makers and developers around the world. The next event will be in Paris on March 13, and you can find the full list on this page.

Microsoft is also expected to hold a hardware event this spring with new Surface devices. Previous reports suggested that this event could be held on March 21, though we’ll have to wait for an official announcement.
