Motorola Announces New Release Date for Its Foldable Razr

When Motorola introduced its newest Razr phone, it caught a lot of eyes. The device was supposed to be released this month, but Motorola later adjusted the release schedule, delaying the release of the new Razr.

At the time, Motorola had said that the company had to delay the launch of the Razr due to ‘unparalleled excitement and interest from consumers’.

And now, Motorola is announcing a new release date for the Razr. It’s now going to be launching on February 6, 2020. The company will start taking pre-orders for the new phone on January 26th. And as announced before, it will cost you a hefty $1,500.

“We are excited to share that, in North America, the Motorola razr will be available for presale on January 26th exclusively at Verizon, Walmart and motorola.com; and in stores starting on February 6th. Dates for other markets will be announced locally.” said Motorola.

Motorola’s new Razr foldable phone will be available in the United States for pre-order from Verizon, Walmart, and Motorola’s official website. The phone will also be available for purchase in-stores from the 6th of February. The company will bring the new Razr to other countries but says the local release dates will be announced later.

if Samsung really are launch a folding phone with a glass-covered screen at their next Unpacked event, the Razr and its plastic-covered brethren will look quite silly not even three weeks from today.

For $1,500 it at least needs a flagship processor from 2019.

I wonder how much of this "exclusive" is down to no one else being interested.
