Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Card, its first-ever credit card with additional perks if you buy Samsung devices.
“For years, users have relied on Samsung products to enhance their daily life, from staying connected with friends, to relaxation, to productivity,” Samsung executive vice president Woncheol Chai says. “Today, Samsung Galaxy Card offers users a new way to be rewarded every time you pay. Users are busy; they need a credit card that simplifies their life and offers them real value, [and] Samsung Galaxy Card does both.”
The Samsung Galaxy Card is being offered through Barclays US Consumer Bank on the Visa network. It offers 1 to 3 percent cash rewards on every purchase, with a higher 5 percent rate when you preorder the next Galaxy device or order any Samsung device. And you can get an additional $200 in bonus cash rewards when you spend $2000 or more in the first 90 days after opening the account. Not coincidentally, Samsung is launching a new line of foldable phones in two days, on Wednesday, July 22. And thanks to the component crisis, spending over $2000 will not be difficult.
If you are interested in the Samsung Galaxy Card, you can submit an application online on July 22, including while shopping at Samsung.com or a Samsung retail store in the U.S. It comes in physical and virtual forms, integrates with Samsung Wallet, and is protected on-device with Samsung Knox.
