MWC 2026: Lenovo Announces New ThinkPad PCs, Concepts

At Mobile World Congress 2026 this week, Lenovo announced several interesting new ThinkPad PCs and concept PCs and devices, the latter of which includes the first mainstream modular PC design similar to what Framework offers.

“From modular AI PC concepts and rugged frontline tablets to the trusted ThinkPad portfolio and human-centric AI companions, Lenovo’s MWC showcase highlights how innovation, reliability, and repairability come together to support modern work,” the Lenovo announcement notes. “The new announcements reflect a continued focus on delivering democratized AI that is productive, adaptable, and protected, addressing the real-world needs of professionals, IT leaders, and enterprises operating across increasingly distributed environments. By combining AI-ready devices with strong repairability, platform choice across leading silicon partners, and enterprise-grade security and services, Lenovo is enabling businesses to adopt AI-powered computing without added complexity.”

ThinkPad PC concepts

On the concept front, Lenovo is showing off the following at MWC 2026:

ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept. This is perhaps the most fascinating of Lenovo’s announcements today: The ThinkBook Modular AI PC concept is centered on the idea of “carry small, use big,” enabling a single device to support productivity, collaboration, and content consumption across different scenarios, Lenovo says. It’s a 14-inch ultra-thin modular PC that can have a secondary display mounted on the top cover for face-to-face use cases or a tablet-like experience when the lid is closed. Or, you can swap the display with the keyboard for a combined 19-inch viewing area. Other modular components include a detachable Bluetooth keyboard, and interchangeable USB Type-A, USB Type-C, and HDMI ports.

Lenovo AI Work Companion Concept. This always-on desk companion supports writing, voice, gesture, and spatial interaction, and it has on-device AI processing inputs. It’s designed to support practical business tasks like scanning and summarizing documents, organizing notes, and assisting in the creation of presentations and other work content, Lenovo says. It can also project content onto nearby surfaces such as a desk or wall, highlighting Lenovo’s exploration of spatial and physical AI experiences that integrate more seamlessly into professional environments.

New ThinkPad PCs

Lenovo also showed off several new Think-branded PCs and devices.

ThinkTab X11. This new rugged Android tablet is built for demanding frontline and industrial environments that require durability, connectivity, and enterprise manageability. It’s powered by a the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform chipset, is tested to MIL-STD-810H standards, is IP68-rated for water and dust. It has a screwless removable battery, supports a battery-less mode for fixed, vehicle-mounted, or shift-based scenarios, comes with dual USB-C ports and a front-mounted NFC sensor. It ships in April for €499 and up.

ThinkPad T-series. Lenovo is updating the ThinkPad T14s (to Gen7), T14s 2-in-1 (to Gen2), T16 (to Gen5), and T14 (to Gen7). There’s a new Cosmic Blue color option for the ThinkPad T14 and T14s, incredible new serviceability capabilities that include RAM, and Intel and AMD processor choices (with LPCAMM2 memory on the Intel models). Most of the new T-series PCs will start shipping in April, with the T14s 2-in-1 arriving in May. Prices start at €1399.

ThinkPad X13 Detachable. Aimed at mobile and frontline professionals, the ThinkPad X13 Detachable is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and supports up to 64 GB of RAM. It features a 13-inch display, two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 ports, a detachable full-sized keyboard, a full-sized ergonomic pen, and is fully serviceable with replaceable USB ports and battery. It arrives in July at €1,949 and up.

ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 6. This 2-in-1 Copilot+ PC laptop is aimed at SMBs and mobile professionals. It’s powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, features a 14-inch display, optional Lenovo Yoga Pen, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, and Magic Bay expansion. It arrives in June with prices starting at €799.

Magic Bay Tiko. This new Magic Bay device is an attachable AI-powered companion that Lenovo says is “designed to surface contextual information and support more intuitive workflows.” It arrives in June at €49.

ThinkVision M16. This lightweight, portable monitor offers a 16-inch display panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, USB-C connectivity with power passthrough, and can toggle between landscape and portrait orientations. It arrives in June and will cost €239.
