Spotify will soon expand the availability of its Premium audiobook catalog to more markets. Following a previous launch in the US, and UK, and Australia, the new Premium perk will be available for users in Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand on April 9.

“Our Premium audiobook catalog, already available in the U.S., U.K., and Australia, is one of the largest subscription-based audiobook-streaming platforms at 250,000 titles and growing—we’re already up from 200,000 titles since late last year,” the company said today.

Spotify Premium members in markets where this Premium audiobook catalog is available can listen to up to 15 hours of audiobooks every month. After reaching this limit, Premium members have the option to purchase top-ups in increments of 10 hours.

While this Audiobooks perk adds more value to Spotify Premium, it’s not available for the Premium Student plan. For people who subscribe to the Premium Family or Duo plan, the perk is also only available for the plan manager.

In the US, Spotify launched last month a new Audiobooks Access tier that provides access to the same Premium audiobook catalog for just $9.99/month. A regular Premium suscription just costs $1 more per month, however. The company is also still offering 375,000 audiobooks for purchase on the web, though only in the markets where the Premium audiobook catalog is currently available.
