Commercials may give consumers buying confidence, but the product isn’t giving ITs confidence. On one hand it will make me money, on the other hand I feel like a snake oil salesman for Microsoft when explaining Windows 11 to a client.

I don’t understand why you would feel like that. We’re all Windows people here so we complain a lot about how difficult Microsoft is sometimes, but truth be told it is the number one desktop operating system in the world. No other OS even comes close. You don’t get that kind of business unless you are doing something right. When you look at the value proposition of licensing costs and the support that comes with it, the number of apps available on the platform, the variety of price points and quality of hardware options, and general stability Windows is the total package. Other OSs may do some things better, but they fail in one of the other key areas. Windows isn’t snake oil, it is the industry standard for desktop OSs for entirely legitimate reasons.
