  <p>High Sierra is also not a Windows format… FAT32 has no ACLs etc. so it is hardly surprising that it isn't a supported format, how will you keep the ACL and other system metadata information synced?</p><p>Other "proper" file systems also have some sort of notion of ACL rights, so they would be less of a problem.</p>

  <p>Have a new Surface Pro here, base model, no issues whatsoever, just the type cover not being recognized once or twice which the July update yesterday hopefully sorted out. Nothing too abnormal, sorry to hear about the few who are experiencing issues, I know what that's like since I suffered the first 9 months' worth of Surface Book power mgmt hotbag issues.</p>
