Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Switch to Microsoft for password management and autofill

I’ve been testing Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Authenticator for password management and autofill. There are still some missing features, and one major caveat, but it works very well.

App pick of the week: Xbox Game Pass

With 20 Bethesda titles landing on Xbox Game Pass this past week and EA Play coming to PC tomorrow, there’s never been a better time to make the switch.

Enterprise pick of the week: A one-click mitigation tool for the Exchange hack

This is more of a SMB pick of the week. The Microsoft Exchange On-Premises Mitigation Tool has been designed to help customers that might not have security or IT staff on hand to help and has been tested across Exchange Server 2013, 2016, and 2019.

Enterprise pick No. 2 of the week: Moar Azure Availability Zones!

It wouldn’t have helped with this week’s Azure meltdown, but customers will be getting more resiliency across Azure services this year with the expansion of Azure Availability Zones.

Beer pick of the week: Burley Oak Shamrock Shake Stout

It’s St. Patrick’s Day so a stout is definitely in order. Burley Oak makes a good sweet stout (10%) called Shamrock Shake that is conditioned on Andes Mints (!) and green spirulina (?) in honor of the day
