Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Wanna add a Windows Hello fingerprint reader to your PC?

This is the one.

App pick of the week: Parallels Toolbox 4.5 for Windows and Mac

This collection of 30 critical tools for both Windows and Mac is $20 per year and worth every cent.

Enterprise pick of the week: How to use Word/Teams as a teleprompter in presentations

This Microsoft Mechanics video has some really good ideas for people who are presenting virtually.

Codename pick of the week:  Boa

A story of a fake Microsoft codename and a tribute to one of the people behind it.

Beer pick of the week: Grimm Black Forest

My “tip” of the week on today, National Beer Day, is to try beers that may be outside your comfort zone sometimes. I did recently with Grimm’s Black Forest sour – which really does have black forest cake flavors! In a sour! Cacao, cherries, only 7%. What’s not to like? This is a collab with Germany’s Freigeist brewery.
