Windows 11 Insider Build 25227 is Out on the Dev Channel

Microsoft has released today the Windows 11 Preview build 25227 for Insiders on the Dev Channel. This update brings new features to help IT pros improve the predictability of restarts caused by Windows Update, and Microsoft is also testing minor changes to the Start menu and Widgets board.

After installing this build, some Insiders will see badges on their user profile to notify them when some actions need to be taken, though the Windows Insider team didn’t go into specifics. Some Insiders will also notice in this build different positions for the header with new icons in the Widgets board, as seen in the image below.

Two other improvements are worth mentioning in today’s build 25227: First, all Insiders can now use the clipboard history (Win + V) on password fields, a feature that was previously rolled out to select testers in the build 25016. Additionally, those of you who use voice typing can now sync Automatic punctuation and Voice typing launcher settings across all devices using the same Microsoft account (AAD accounts are not supported yet).

Microsoft is also rolling out a Microsoft Store update to all Insiders today. The version adds a new way to preview content with pop up trailers for games and movies. That’s it for today’s build 25227, which you can clean install by downloading ISOs from Microsoft’s website.
