Windows 11 Insider Build 25352 Brings Updated Widgets Picker

Microsoft is ending the week with a new build release for Canary Channel Insiders. The Windows 11 Insider build 25352 introduces a new picker experience for the Windows 11 Widgets board that lets users preview widgets before pinning them.

This new widget picker experience is also rolling out to Dev Channel Insiders, the Windows Insider team said today. Moreover, Microsoft is introducing a new deep linking ability that will let users open the widget picker right from an app.

Microsoft also mentioned in the release notes that today’s build 25352 is coming from a new “ZN_RELEASE” development branch. However, new Insider builds coming from this branch are still not tied to a specific Windows 11 release.

“We are treating these builds the same as we would treat builds from the RS_PRERELEASE branch. As a result of this change, Insiders will notice that some features have been removed temporarily. We look to bring these features back to Insiders in the future,” the Windows Insider team said.

That’s it for this rare Friday flight, but this isn’t the only build Microsoft released this week. Yesterday, the Windows 11 Insider builds 22624.1680 and Build 22621.1680 brought an Expanded Widgets Board that supports a 3-column layout to Beta Channel testers.
