New Windows 11 Insider Builds Land on the Canary and Beta Channels

Microsoft has released today a new set of Windows 11 Insider builds for testers on the Canary and Beta channels. Even though the company is wrapping up its Build developer conference today, these two new builds are nothing to be excited about.

For Insiders on the Canary channel, the build 25375 doesn’t include the Dev Drive and Windows Backup app that were introduced yesterday on the Dev channel build 23466, but it does bring one new security feature on ARM-based PCs. Indeed, this build enables support for Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies on Windows on ARM devices.

These policies allow IT admins to restrict how users can access sensitive files and implement various types of restrictive actions on user activities. This is the only change mentioned in the release notes for the build 25375.

For Beta channel testers, the Windows 11 builds 22621.1825 and 22631.1825 add the ability to see the full amount of storage capacity of your OneDrive subscription in the Settings app. There are also various bug fixes included in these two builds, and Microsoft addressed an issue that caused audio playback to fail on devices with certain CPUs.

Microsoft announced yesterday that the new Windows Copilot feature that will bring an AI-powered assistant to Windows 11 will enter public testing on June 11. The company didn’t specify which Insider channel will get it first, however.
