Windows 11 Insider Build 23471 Improves File Explorer Gallery

Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 Insider build 23471 for Insiders on the Dev Channel. The new bits bring the File Explorer Gallery introduced on the build 23435 to all Dev Channel testers, and this feature is getting a new option to set up access to the OneDrive Camera Roll.

In the File Explorer Gallery, a new “Add Phone Photos” button has been added to the command bar. Clicking this button will guide users through the setup of the OneDrive Camera Roll, and it will require them to scan a QR code with their phones. The Windows Insider team noted that testers may need to opt into OneDrive’s Insider Program in the app’s settings to get this new feature working.

Starting with this build, select Insiders on the Dev Channel can also test the ability to tear out and merge File Explorer tabs. Additionally, Microsoft has fixed an issue causing access keys to appear inconsistently when no button was pressed.

The Windows 11 Insider build 23471 also brings new natural voices in Spanish for the Narrator feature. Moreover, the network flyout on the lock screen has been redesigned to better respect Windows 11’s design language.

Microsoft has also released today the Windows 11 preview builds 22631.1830 and 22621.1830 for Insiders on the Beta channel. The first one adds WPA3 support to the Phone Link instant hotspot feature, and there are no documented changes for the second one.
