Windows Insider Beta Channel Gets Bug Fixing Updates

Microsoft has released today the Windows 11 builds 22631.2115 and 22621.2115 for Insiders on the Beta Channel. After last week’s flight brought several new 23H2 features including the ability to use Windows Ink to handwrite anywhere you can type in the OS, today’s updates mostly include bug fixes.

The build 22631.2115 headed to the group of Beta Channel Insiders receiving new features can now use Narrator detailed reading with Traditional Chinese characters. Otherwise, the list of bug fixes for this build and the build 22621.2115 is pretty long. Highlights include a fix for an issue causing brightness settings to be inaccurate, as well as an update for a bug causing print jobs to abruptly stop.

The Windows Insider team also announced today that the August 2023 Bug Bash will start on August 2. “The bug bash will span the latest features available in preview builds across the Canary, Dev, and Beta Channels,” the team said today.

Last but not least, all Insiders in the US can now check out AI-powered review summaries in the Microsoft Store. The new feature was first announced at Microsoft’s Build developer conference in May, and Rudy Huyn, lead architect for the Microsoft Store tweeted that it was now available for Insiders.

This is just a small example of Microsoft adding new AI features to Windows 11 this year. Currently, Dev Channel Insiders can also test Windows Copilot, a new AI assistant that can be pinned on the right side of the screen.
