Windows Insiders on the Canary Channel Get a Bug Fixing Update

Windows 11 PC

Microsoft has just released the Windows 11 preview build 25947 for Insiders on the Canary Channel. This new build includes no new features, but it brings a couple of bug fixes and reliability improvements.

The software giant fixed an issue that was causing File Explorer to crash when accessing the Gallery view. Another bug causing the app to not work in safe mode has also been addressed.

Moreover, Insiders should no longer see a pop-up asking them to “Select an app to open this ‘ms-screenclip’ link” following the latest Snipping Tool update, which introduced the new combined capture bar. This Snipping Tool update is now rolling out to Beta Channel testers, the Windows Insider team said today.

The release notes for the build 25947 also mention performance improvements when switching between different pages in Task Manager. If you’ve been encountering issues when playing popular games on your PC running recent Windows 11 Canary builds, be aware, the Windows Insider team is investigating and asking for your feedback.

Lastly, a new Microsoft Store update that introduces a new Game Pass page is now rolling out to Windows Insiders in all channels. This update was previously made available on the Beta Channel yesterday, and it lets users learn more and subscribe to PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
