New Windows 11 Insider Builds Are Available on the Dev and Beta Channels

Microsoft has released today new Windows 11 Insider builds for the Dev and Beta Channels. The Dev Channel build 23620 only includes minor bug fixes, but the Beta build 22635.3130 brings improvements for the Snaps Layouts feature as well as a new settings experience for the Widgets board.

Microsoft is gradually rolling out suggestions in Snap Layouts to Beta Channel testers who turned on the “Get the latest updates when they’re available toggle” in Windows Update. The new suggestions in the layout box will help users instantly snap multiple app windows together, as seen in the image below.

In December, Beta Channel testers also got to try a new settings experience for Widgets, with new ways to customize the widgets board. Microsoft later disabled the rollout of this feature to fix issues, but the Windows Insider said today that it’s once again rolling out gradually on the Beta Channel.

If you’re on the Beta Channel and want to go back to the production version of Windows 11, that’s now possible with today’s Beta Channel flight. You just need to unenroll your device from the Beta Channel in Windows Update, and Windows 11 version 23H2 will then be installed automatically.

“Please note that unenrolling a device from flighting in the Beta Channel will result in a loss of some features that are not yet available for retail customers. However, your personal data will still be there,” the Windows Insider team explained.
