Microsoft Issues Third Windows 10 Insider Preview Build This Week

Less than 24 hours after it delivered build 15060 to Windows 10 Insiders on the Fast ring, Microsoft has shipped yet another build, 15061. RC3, anyone?

So Microsoft has now shipped three builds this week: Build 15058 on Tuesday, build 15060 on Thursday, and now build 15061 today (Friday). Whew!

Like the previous several builds, Windows 10 Insider Preview build 15061 doesn’t bring any new features. Instead, Microsoft is completing the development of the next major Windows 10 version here and is just fixing bugs at this point.

You can check out the original Microsoft blog post for a list of changes, improvements, and fixes, and a separate list of known issues. Neither is very long.

After 15060 "Failed to Install" 8 times today (seems to have aborted during or after download), I have one failure for 15061. Both are labeled as (rs2_release).

Maybe this is the one. Sure would be nice. I've got a feeling we're going to know when the hero wallpaper changes to the new version on new installs.

I really hope msft take their time rolling out the "final bits" of the Creators Update. This time it needs to go smoothly.

Somebody has a twitchy finger on the red button.

Let's hope the final result isn't the same as the one in the Oval Office.

    Thay should list these builds as (rs2_rc1) and so on <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Just installed 15061 build, and it seems to be better than before.

The issue with high disk usage is over, and speed of the desktop is fine.

Even nice new options in Edge with the tab's.

My location in Europe (the Netherlands).
