Windows Insider Build 17025 Heads Out to the Fast Ring

Microsoft today released Windows Insider build 17025 to the Fast ring, offering some nice updates to the Settings app and the Yahei font.

Here’s what’s new.

Updated Ease of Access settings. Ease of Access settings (found in Settings > Ease of Access) has been visually updated with new groups in the navigation bar (a first, I think) and more easily-undestood descriptions.

Startup app control in Settings In the previous Fast ring build, Microsoft introduced startup app control in Settings (it’s in Task Manager normally). In this build, this feature has been improved so that UWP apps that are configured to run at startup will now have a new option to see all available tasks specified by the app developer.

Updated Yahei font. Microsoft Yahei is the font used by Windows to display text in the Chinese (Simplified) language. In this build, the font has been updated to improve the legibility, symmetry and appearance.

Various fixes and updates. This build has numerous other small changes, but one is interesting to me: The Fluent Design System light press effect has been softened. There are some known issues too, for the first time in a while.
