Microsoft today released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17751 to testers in the Fast ring. No, there are no new features. Windows 10 version 1809, as you may have heard, is complete.

No, not “complete” in the sense of this being an RTM build. But it’s feature complete, and I’d call this a Release Candidate (RC)-quality build. You know, like Microsoft used to.

Anyway. Nothing to see here. Including the watermark that’s normally in the lower-right corner of the desktop. Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar claims that this change doesn’t mean that Windows 10 version 1809 is complete. But she also verifies my thoughts about it being an RC build.

“We’re just now beginning the phase of checking in final code to prepare for the final release,” she writes. Right. A Release Candidate.
