Microsoft To-Do Gets Support for Multiple Accounts on Windows 10

Microsoft is introducing a helpful feature for Microsoft To-Do on Windows 10. The company previously tested support for multiple accounts on To-Do, and it’s now rolling out to everyone today (via WBI).

Multiple account support allows users to easily switch between different accounts without having to manually sign-out and log into their different accounts. The feature is going to be really useful for those with multiple personal and work/school accounts.

You can add new accounts by clicking on your profile, and once you add all your accounts, you can switch between your different accounts instantly through the quick switcher.

The feature is only available on Windows 10 for the time being, as it doesn’t seem to be available on the iOS app at the moment. It will likely make its way to other platforms in the future, and we will let you know once that happens. For the time being, you can get it on Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store here.

Nice feature but maybe MS should be sure that the iOS Todo app actually syncs properly. Sync from the iOS app is intermittently failing. I have been going back and forth with MS support over this issue for a few weeks now. The only way to insure the app is up to date is to close the running process in iOS and then reopen it.

C'mon MS, reliable sync is an absolute requirement!

The feature has been on the Android Beta for a while now. I remember asking support when it was coming to Windows and I got the "we are working on it and it will be soon" response.

I love this feature though! I have a To-Do on one of my main personal outlook accounts and my work account. Keeping things neatly separate yet easy to work with. The To-Do team really has stepped it up in the last year.

Nice to finally get this, but…I gotta say, it's not quite how I hoped it would be implemented. You basically select your account in the top left corner of the app and then switch to another account. So you can still only manage one account at a time. All they've removed is the need to log out and log back into the other account.

I'm more excited by flagged email integration with Exchange accounts. You can opt into Flagged Email, and your flagged messages show up in To-Do, where they can be easily managed as tasks. These are full-blown tasks…you can add steps, set due dates, reminders, recurrence, notes, attachments, etc. You can also easily see the email text right in To-Do. Now, THAT'S a powerful feature.

In reply to gregsedwards:

How do you enable flagged email integration? I use flagged emails constantly in Outlook, which makes my list of tasks in To Do far from complete.
