Microsoft Issues Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18898

Posted on May 15, 2019 by Paul Thurrott in Windows 10 with 4 Comments

Microsoft today issued a new Windows 10 20H1 build to Insiders that includes a single new feature.

Don’t get your hopes up too much: Task Manager has been updated to display the disk type (SSD, HDD, etc.) for each disk listed in the Performance tab. That’s literally it.

Beyond this, Microsoft fixed a few issues. And there continue to be a long list of remaining issues, including the problem with anti-cheat software that seems like it’s been present forever.

Basically, not much to see here.

It's clear that Nadella checked out from Windows and consumer-anything long ago. Its reflected in the bumbling update quality and cadence, and the total lack of accountability -- I mean how is Dona even still employed there?

I am starting to see a trent. Windows no longer gets big features. Old programs/apps get updated.

    Too early to call?

To be fair, I had been waiting for that.

I’ll take it.. windows 10 seems to love ssd’s And when I am doing upgrades around the factory it’s nice to have a simple keyboard shortcut to see what the computer has.
