Microsoft has released Windows 10 build 19041.1 to Windows Insiders in the Fast and Slow rings, another near-final 20H1 build.
As you would expect, there are no new features and thus nothing to discuss when it comes to this build.
That said, Microsoft also revealed that the new Quick Searches feature, which is available from the Search Home experience (WINKEY + S), is now expanding to new markets and languages; previously it was only available in English in the United States.
Now, Quick Searches is also available in Australia: English, Canada: English and French, China: Chinese (Simplified), France: French, Germany: German, India: English, Italy: Italian, Japan: Japanese, Mexico: Spanish, Spain: Spanish, and United Kingdom: English too.
And no, this feature isn’t 20H1 specific. It will be made available to everyone running Windows 10 version 1809 or newer in the supported markets and languages.
But there is one caveat, and the Insider folks, as usual, are not explaining it properly. Quick Searches provides access to up to four types of quick searches—weather, top news, today in history, new movies, plus an occasional seasonal topic or interesting quiz—but depending on which market you’re in, you may see as little as two of them. Which market(s), you ask? They’re not saying.
