Tweeten 5 Natively Supports Windows on ARM

Our own Mehedi Hassan has updated his Twitter client, Tweeten, to version 5, adding native support for Windows 10 on ARM and several new features.

“With the latest release of Tweeten, I am super excited to announce native support for Windows on ARM64 devices like Microsoft Surface Pro X, Lenovo Yoga 5G, and Samsung Galaxy Book S,” Mehedi writes in the announcement post. “Thanks to the ARM64 support on Tweeten, users will be able to enjoy the power of the app on next-generation Windows devices while on the go, taking advantage of cutting-edge features like built-in 4G LTE and 5G connectivity.”

To bring Tweeten 5 to Windows 10 on ARM, Mehedi collaborated with engineers from both ARM and Qualcomm, and I’ve asked him to write about this journey sometime soon. The new app is available now in the Microsoft Store, but it will also be made available via a web download in the future, Mehedi says.

In addition to ARM support, Tweeten 5 features improved GIF and video support, a configurable download path, a more seamless method for restoring default settings, and improved personalization functionality.

Mehedi further promises that a future Tweeten release will feature a cleaner, modernized design. And he’s planning on porting the app to Linux; an update to the Mac version is expected soon.

You can learn more about Tweeten from the Tweeten website.
