Today’s 12 Days of Deals Promotion: Save Up to $500 on Select PCs

Day 5 of Microsoft’s 12 Days of Deals provides lots of interesting options, with $70 to $500 off select Intel-powered Windows 10 PCs.

There are tons of deals here, and some are quite substantial, and for PCs I know to be quite excellent. So rather than ponderously list them all—and, really, you may need to move quick on some of these—here’s a link to the full list and a rundown of the ones that really stand out for me:

Dell XPS 15 9550-0000SLV Core i5 256GB Signature Edition Laptop

Price: $1499 (was $1699)
Why: This is a PC I’d consider buying for myself, and I love the notion of a 15-inch screen in a 13-inch form factor.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 AO1-131-C7DW Signature Edition Laptop

Price: $119 ($50 off)
Why: This is a Chromebook-class PC that is only $119. A bit small for my tastes, but perfect for a kid. But get this one instead:

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 AO1-131-C1G9 Signature Edition Laptop

Price: $139 ($50 off)
Why: Same as above, but with Office 365 Personal (a $70 value). No brainer.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14 AO1-431-C1FZ Signature Edition Laptop

Price: $199 (save $50)
Why: Another Chromebook-class PC, but with a more spacious 14-inch screen (and, yes, Office 365 Personal). I’ve been curious about testing one, so I actually bought this PC this morning.

HP ENVY Notebook 13-d010nr Signature Edition Laptop

Price: $799 ($100 off)
Why: I’ll be writing about this device soon: It’s a surprise hit of 2015, and a wonderfully light and capable Ultrabook.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro-1370 Signature Edition 2 in 1 PC, 256GB

Price: $949 ($151 off)
Why: I’ll be reviewing this one soon. This is a fantastic transforming Ultrabook.
